Online therapy has been scientifically proven to be as effective as face-to-face therapy, and for certain cases, it is even the preferred method. The advent of COVID-19 has highlighted the advantages of telehealth, and I have successfully transitioned the scientifically validated therapies I traditionally conducted in person to an online format. Online therapy enhances accessibility and efficiency, while also reducing some of the fear and barriers associated with attending conventional in-person therapy sessions. It offers the usual therapeutic experience from a place that you find comfortable and convenient.
The practice within sessions and the exercises between them continue to be a central aspect of the therapies I provide. The methods I employ are customized to address your specific issues and preferences, yet they are all aimed at achieving rapid and enduring change.
The therapeutic modalities I prefer include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Based Treatment, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and iRest.

Face to Face Options
Online therapy is not the ideal platform for children 10 years and under (although there are exceptions). In person therapy is offered for this age group and allows me to implement the more “hands on”, creative, play and interaction based therapies that we know work best for little minds with busy bodies.
The Mindful Well is located in the heart of Bellingen on the Mid North Coast of NSW. In person sessions allow for children to be more adequately “attuned to” via therapy options that just don’t translate quite as well online (Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Sand Play and other Play therapies).
Cognitive and academic assessments are also provided at the Mindful Well and also require in person attendance.
